This image is the Poster of "Running Scared". Just from looking at the poster we can already tell which genre the film is, as we can see there is a gun extremely close up to the camera. There is also a cartoon like image of two men stood in a gun shoot out. This definately gives the feel of an action/thriller film. We can tell how significant everything in the poster is due to its position in the frame and how close it is to the camera, the gun, being the main focus of the film is at the foreground and Joey gazelle (Paul Walker) is very close to the camera aswell. The colour scheme gives the poster a cartoon like look, the blues could signify how the characters are feeling, depressed and anxious that they may not get the gun back. The use of only 3 colours brings out the red in the titles, they have used red as it could signify blood, it is also a very good contrasting colour and draws the eye to the words. In conclusion, I think the poster does a very good job at showing what it is trying to present, the film, and the genre of the film. The colours are a very good contrast which draws the eye in and attracts attention.
Joe.
