Media Evaluation
Our media product was influenced by several existing media texts, however, we was heavily influenced and inspired by the film 'Taken'. The mise en scene was a key aspect when we took on board in relation to developing our product, as we was extremely fond of the storyline in terms of the audience being drawn in from the get go of the film, which immediately signifies action, thriller genre.
This movie opens with a shots of the protagonists daughter blowing the candles after her cake on her 5th birthday. This shot had a fuzzy, unsteady effect to it which indicates to the audience that this particular shot has been filmed with a portable video camera. In addition I believe the whole fuzzy effect signifies a dream like world. This scene quickly merges into a medium shot of the protagonist warning up, with the use of quick flashes. Then the use of the sound becomes very effective as a non-diagetic calm soundrawn begins to play which signifies a peacful relaxed atmosphere aswell as some sort of bond and relationship between the protagonist and his daughter. As he leaves his appartment a close up of a framed picture of the protagonist daughter also enhances his fathers daughter connection.

Preliminary task
Below is our preliminary task, we had finished it before the Final task, however we forgot to add it to our blog. We thought the task went very well considering that we had had no experiance at all at filming or storyboarding a 2-3 minute film. We found that some shots were lacking good continuity as shirts and jackets changed position and hairstyles grew and got shorter in different shots due to it being filmed on two different days.

Planning our evaluations
We have spent the past week planning our evaluation podcasts/powerpoints. David has filmed his podcast already, only Zaq and I need to film ours now. My notes for the podcast are ready, all I need to do is book out a tripod for the night and film it at home and edit it on windows movie maker. I found that I struggled a bit on a few of the questions especially question 1 and 6 as the key terminology wasn't as fresh in my brain as it should have been.

Audience questionnaie
To help us evaluate our final film we made a rough audience questionnaire in which it asks problems and where they would like to see the film lead on to. Below is our first handed back questionnaire.
